It was all fun and intrigue as Budapest played host to languages from almost all over the world at the Millenáris centre B Hall in down town Budapest.The event which took place between September 7- 9 was termed “13 language Parade...The Hungarian Fair for Language Learning Opportunities.
And since its inception in 2000, it has become a yearly event in which exhibitors, visitors and organisers look forward to.
“It is such a melting pot where different languages become a uniting force,” declared a participant who indicated that he was already looking forward to attending next year event.
According to the organisers, "Language Parade is the biggest national and international festival displaying language learning opportunities and modern technologies, business courses and training, developing children’s language skills, courses and jobs outside Hungary offered by Hungarian and foreign recruitment companies and educational institutions from all over the world”.
The main topics focused on at the parade are Language learning opportunities & modern technologies; Business Language Show - business courses and training; Study & work abroad! -courses and jobs outside Hungary offered by Hungarian and foreign recruitment companies and educational institutions from all over the world; and Developing children’s language skills
And those at the parade include students, Adults, parents, even children. Language trainers and teachers as well as professionals and managers who all displayed their talents to give the event a touch of international get together.
Meanwhile exhibitors had a field day as they showcased the stuff they are made of.
They are language schools and institutions from Hungary and abroad; language travel companies and cultural institutions; language centres; internet based education; publishers and distributors of multimedia teaching software; and so on.
All in all, it was a day that English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Finish, Russian, and Swahili had a wonderful moment to educate the international audience in such atmosphere where different cultural background mixed together.
